Did you know the iPhone 11 pro and 11 pro max have nearly same PCB? How to tell the difference, find out now.

I was having a workaround this evening then I had to assemble an iPhone 11 pro which I'd previously left its board somewhere around. It was then it dawned on me!

iPhone 11 pro vs iPhone 11 pro max

I could hardly tell the difference between the iPhone 11 pro and the iPhone 11 pro max boards... Like...
How could this detail manage to evade my subconscious mind for years until this evening. They were looking perfectly the same. I had to perform some trouble-shoot before I was able to differentiate the boards.

Consequently I have decided to share two differences I found out after carefully scrutinising, comparing and analysing the boards.

Difference between iPhone 11 pro and 11 pro max boards.

1. The first observable difference between both boards is an extra resistor in the top section of the board of the 11 pro. Bottom boards are the same, but top 11 pro has an extra resistor compared to the 11 pro max.

Removing the extra identification resistor of the 11 pro can change the board's identity to a 11 pro max.

2. I noticed the printed label on each PCB beside a drill designed for a screw. One is labelled as T while the other has Z-like letter written on it.

Labels of 11 pro and 11 pro max

The label that looked like z was found on the 11 pro board and the T label was found on the 11 pro max label.

These two differences I stated above were observable differences I could tell between an 11 pro and 11 pro max PCB. All other things remained same. The iPhone 11 board had a different shape entirely so it is not looking anything like these two. If you have any other observed differences feel free to use the comment box.
